The Mystery Guest
Requests for $1,500 to $5,000 table sponsorships at a "Republicans for Republican Candidates" fund-raiser have been sent to lobbyists and other known political donors by organizer Jeremy Roberts.

The invitation for the Aug. 23 dinner at Little America Hotel notes that invited guests include Sens. Orrin Hatch and Robert Bennett, Congressmen Chris Cannon and Rob Bishop, Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert, Attorney General Mark Shurtleff, Republican state legislators, Salt Lake County elected officials and candidates for Salt Lake City mayor.

Notably absent from the list is Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.

But perhaps even more interesting is the title of the fundraiser: the "Regan Dinner."

So it's unclear if the event, whose sponsors include StoresOnline, EnergySolutions and FinishFirst, is named after the 40th president of the United States, Ronald Reagan, or the daughter of King Lear.

Cheers,
Paul Rolly

I'm leaning toward Lear, myself.

Perhaps they're naming after Donald Thomas Regan?

WIKI:

Donald Regan (December 21, 1918 – June 10, 2003) was the 66th United States Secretary of the Treasury, from 1981 to 1985, and Chief of Staff from 1985 to 1987 in the Ronald Reagan Administration, where he advocated "Reaganomics" and tax cuts to create jobs and stimulate production. Regan was criticized for his Prime Ministerial style of working, for his involvement in the Iran-Contra Affair, and for his frequent disagreements with Ronald Reagan's wife, First Lady Nancy Reagan.
