The Republicans have looked far and wide to find a candidate to run against the popular Democratic mayor. Friday, they found their answer.
Dell Shanze.
Remember Dell Shanze? He was the founder and owner of Totally Awesome Computers and famous for his quirky ads. He later got in trouble for pulling a gun on some people who were upset with him for speeding through their neighborhood. He got in trouble again with the law for buzzing motorists on the freeway in his motorized paraglider.
When he pulled the plug on his computer business, he lashed out at the reporters covering the story, telling them they all needed to repent.
He has designated that the ballot will bear his nickname, "Super Dell".
