Give Them Liberty or Give Them Death?
Utah Rep. Karl Wimmer got such reaction nationwide after his interview via satellite with Fox News commentator Glenn Beck about his "Patrick Henry Caucus" he has been invited to New York for a live discussion with Beck on Friday.

The Herriman Republican fostered the idea of a states-rights caucus involving legislators from throughout the country with four other conservative Utah legislators: Chris Herrod, R-Provo; Stephen Sandstrom, R-Orem; Ken Sumsion, R-American Fork, and Keith Grover, R-Provo.

He began corresponding with legislators from other states about the idea and when work got around, Beck called him and set up the long-distance interview. That received such a response that the group has set up a volunteer team to field all the e-mails and is developing a Web site.

Fox is flying Wimmer to New York where he will appear live on the Glenn Beck show at 3 p.m. Friday.

Wimmer envisions the caucus as a multi-state coordinated effort of legislatures passing bills and resolutions reclaiming state sovereignty on a number of levels, such as land-use and education policy.

Wimmer is a world-class weight lifter and Beck likes to cry. So they should make for an interesting duo.
Cheers,
Paul Rolly
