Utah is No. 1
National talk show host Larry King plans to showcase Utah on one of his upcoming programs, but it probably won’t be in a good light.
King’s producers have contacted Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff about doing an interview on illegal pyramid schemes and how they are cracked.
And why would King pick Utah to showcase for that issue? Well, it’s because they are so prevalent here, just like Utah’s reputation in the 1970s as the penny-stock-fraud capital of the world.
And you thought "Big Love" was bad for our image.
The interview originally was scheduled for May 7, but the producers postponed it because of a conflict. It will be rescheduled after Shurtleff returns from his trip to Israel with Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.
