Who's Calling for an Investigation?
Utah Congressman Rob Bishop tried to get a bipartisan committee appointed in the House to investigate House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's alleged "lying" about when and to what extent she was briefed by the CIA about waterboarding. His effort was shot down by House Democrats who called it strictly political.

Gee, ya think?

Bishop shouldn't be too loose with talk of investigations and ethical lapses on the part of Democrats.

When Bishop was speaker of the Utah House, I remember, he single-handedly killed a bill that would have imposed specific penalties for the negligent storage of firearms that resulted in the injury or death of a child. He simply refused to put it up for a vote after it was sent to the full House from the Rules Committee.

After that legislative session, Bishop left the House and was promptly hired as a lobbyist by a Utah gun-rights organization affiliated with the National Rifle Association, which opposed the bill.

Perhaps someone should call for an investigation of Bishop.
Cheers,
Paul Rolly
