Baseball: Alta's Campbell signs with Utah Valley University
Utah Valley University's baseball program has landed another elite pitcher from the south part of the Salt Lake Valley.
Alta High pitcher Justin Campbell has signed with the Wolverines.
Campbell was a 2008 Class 5A all-state selection and a member of the 5A all-tournament team. He was the 2007 Prospect Games MVP and is also a three-year letterman, an all-Region 2 performer and an honor role student.

Davis High defensive end James Cowser recently received his first college football scholarship offer, according to Brandon Huffman of Scout.com.
Cowser, a senior, has an offer from Air Force.
Cowser finished with 94 tackles, including 39 for losses, and 14 sacks.
The resident of Kaysville is the Region 1 Defensive Player of the Year and Davis' nominee in the Wendy's High School Heisman program.
