BYU lands one of the country's top prep volleyball players
Kylin Munoz, one of the top high school volleyball players in the country, has signed with BYU, the school announced Monday.
Munoz, an outside hitter, is a native of Monroe, Wash. She is ranked No. 6 nationally on prepvolleyball.com's Senior Ace list.
The Cougars have also signed Kathryn LeCheminant, a senior at Layton High in Davis Country. LeCheminant was an all-Region 1 selection last month.
Munoz is a 2008 UnderArmour All-American and is also a first-team all-state selection and three-time all-league player.
"Kylin was one of the most sought-after recruits in the country, and we are extremely excited for her to wear a BYU jersey," said BYU coach Shay Goulding. "She is very mature and is ready to come in and make an impact in the Mountain West Conference right away. She is an excellent teammate and will fit well into our program. I look forward to watching her career develop and seeing her quickly become one of the most talented players to ever play in the Smith Fieldhouse."
