Texas QB gaining interest
Even with Griffin Robles coming in from his mission and Corbin Louks and DeVonte Christopher on the current roster, the Utes are searching the country for another quarterback. The top prize on their list right now is Keith Price, a 6-1, 176-pound quarterback at St. John Bosco in Bellflower, Calif., who committed to Washington but is keeping his options open considering the unstable situation there.
Another quarterback that is gaining some interest is Blinn Community College 6-1, 190-pound quarterback Terrance Cain.
The Utes already have one commitment from the school in receiver Travis Cobb and lost another, Justin Jordan, to UAB.
The question will be if the Utes want to use a scholarship for a two-year player or think more long-term.
Cain is drawing interest from several other schools too and could probably help his stock rise if he can lead the Bucks to an upset win over top-ranked Navarro Saturday in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference playoffs.
