Wrestling: Lofthouse commits to Iowa
Ethen Lofthouse, the highly recruited wrestler from Mountain Crest High in Hyrum, Utah, has committed to wrestle for Iowa.
Lofthouse will sign on Wednesday with the Hawkeyes and join his uncle, Luke Lofthouse, at Iowa.
Ethen Lofthouse is the No. 43-ranked recruit nationally in the Class of 2009 by InterMat.
Lofthouse, also an all-state caliber football player, chose Iowa over Iowa State (and coach Cael Sanderson, a Utah native), Oregon State and Missouri.
He is a three-time Utah state champion and will go for a fourth title next February.
Lofthouse will likely wrestle at 174 or 184 pounds in college. He has a 141-6 record at Mountain Crest.
