Football: Juco DB chooses Washington over BYU
One of the junior college cornerbacks that BYU was interested in has committed to Washington, according to a report on Scout.com.

Dominique Gaisie, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back from Mt. San Antonio College pledged to new Washington coach Steve Sarkisian during his recent visit to Seattle.

Gaisie will be reunited with his defensive backs coach from Mt. Sac, Demetrice Martin, at Washington. He also had an offer from New Mexico State.

Gaisie will have three years to play two at Washington.

Sky View High's JD Falslev has committed to play for BYU next year as a preferred walk-on, according to his father, Dave.

A running back who also returns kicks, Falslev committed to BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall earlier this week. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound multi-threat athlete is a two-time all-stater who rushed for 958 yards and 10 touchdowns on 131 carries last seson.

Total Blue Sports is reporting that BYU has received a commitment from another high school junior, bringing the total to four juniors who have pledged to Cougar coaches.

The latest is Joey Owens, a 6-3, 215-pound linebacker from Pleasant Grove High in Utah County. Owens participated in BYU's Junior Day over the weekend and apparently accepted an offer from BYU then.
