Football: Layton RB chooses Southern Utah University
Layton High running back Karl Williams has orally committed to Southern Utah University, according to his father, David.
Williams, a first-team all-state running back who is 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds, pledged to SUU coaches over the weekend. He also had an offer from Air Force.
Known as Karl "The Truth" Williams in Region 1 football, the senior had 145 carries for 989 yards and 12 touchdowns last season.

The kid is under 6' tall and weighs 209. That is verified thru a combine. Why are you reporting

For your information peggy my son is between 6'and 6'1 230 lbs not 209 lbs the combine was held in May you apparrently has never hear of kids growing...
Didn't some Big Sky schools offer as well? I would think Air Force or a Big Sky school (i.e. Weber State, Idaho State) would give the opportunity for possible post-season play. The Great West Conference (of which SUU is a member) only has 5 members and no automatic playoff berth.
