Football: Weber State snags Missouri linebacker
Weber State coach Ron McBride has said that the Wildcats success last season is helping him beat bigger schools for college football recruits.
One such example is Jarred Henry, a linebacker from Missouri who recently committed to the Wildcats.
Henry is the younger brother of former University of Utah star Rocky Henry, who played for McBride at Utah.
Henry chose WSU over several other schools. He is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound outside linebacker who was named the top LB at Missouri's football camp last summer. His father, Lloyd Henry, played in the NFL for the Dophins and Redskins.
Rocky Henry played for the Dallas Cowboys and for six years in the Canadian Football League.
-----------------
Matt Holley, a wide receiver from Centennial High in Las Vegas, has orally committed to Southern Utah. Holley made 36 catches for 463 yards. He also carried the ball 34 times for 229 yards.
Defensively, he had 120 tackles as a linebacker. He will probably play linebacker in college.
