Basketball: Davis team also makes semis in Vegas
Another 16-and-under boys basketball team also played well at the recently concluded Las Vegas Easter Classic.
The Jammers, a team comprised entirely of sophomores from Davis High, made it to the semifinals of the platinum division before losing 42-38 to Arizona Premier Black.
The Jammers were down by a point with a minute remaining, but two separate three-point attempts wouldn't fall.
Trevor Webb, Blake Harris, Morgan Dunford, Drake Turner and Daniel Moffett shined for the Jammers.
In pool play, the Jammers defeated the San Diego Ballers 81-46 and Gamepoint Basketball of Oceanside, Calif., 62-37 to win their pool.
They beat the Las Vegas Dynasty 58-40 to advance to the semifinal game.
