Basketball: SLCC's Walker signs with Westminster
Former Lehi High star Ben Walker, a 6-foot-8 forward, has signed to play for Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
Walker spent last year playing for Salt Lake Community College. Prior to an LDS Church mission to the Phillipines, Walker spent a year at the Air Force Academy.
Walker shot 63.2 percent from the field for the Bruins, and is expected to help replace National Player of the Year Geoff Payne at Westminster.
He chose Westminster over Penn, Princeton and New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Westminster went 30-5 last season, won the Frontier Conference Championship and made it to the NAIA quarterfinals.
