Football: Tennessee offers Brighton's Heimuli
Another SEC football program has offered Brighton High defensive tackle Ricky Heimuli.

Just got word that over the weekend the University of Tennessee offered the junior standout.

It is Heimuli's 20th offer.

"Ricky spoke with coach [Jim] Chaney over the phone and Ricky really liked what they have to offer so he's really excited to build that relationship," noted his brother, Sefo.

University of Utah women's basketball coach Elaine Elliott has offered a high school freshman for the first time in her tenure at the U.

Brittney Martin, a freshman at Syracuse High in north Davis County, received the scholarship offer from the Utes after she made an unofficial recruiting visit to Utah with here parents last week.

Last year, Martin averaged 12.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.04 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.2 blocks for the Spartans.
