Girls basketball: Nevada junior commits to BYU
Stephanie Rovetti, a junior at Reno High School in Nevada, has orally committed to play basketball for BYU's women's team.
Rovetti told the Reno Gazette-Journal that she has wanted to play for the Cougars since she was a small child.
She averaged 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 2.8 assists last season and said she will sign a national letter of intent with coach Jeff Judkins' program in November.
Rovetti was an All-North (Nevada) pick her sophomore and junior seasons and her team finished second in state both years. She was a third-team all-state pick last season.
She's also a track star, having placed third in the 100 meters and second in the 200 at last year's Nevada state track meet.
