Basketball: Westminster signs two more, including former Alta High star
Westminster College's men's basketball program has signed two more players for the 2009-2010 season.
Former Alta High star Jeff Christensen and Nick Davis of Boise, Idaho, each signed an NAIA letter of intent to join the Griffins in the fall. With the addition of Christensen and Davis, Westminster has now signed six players for next season.
Christensen, a 6-8 forward, will join the Griffins after serving an LDS mission. He spent one season as a redshirt atnSaddleback College in Mission Viejo, California.
Davis, a 6-5 forward, spent one season at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, before serving an LDS mission in Korea. While at Northwest he averaged 8.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game and started all 32 games. Davis prepped at Capital High School in Boise where he was named First Team All-State and led his team to the championship game as a senior.
