Football: Open house for retiring coach Sudbury is Thursday
This isn't exactly recruiting news, but many people in Utah with interest in high school sports check out this blog, so I figured I would run it here.

An open house for retiring coach Son Sudbury of Cyprus will be held Thursday, June 18 at 6 p.m. at 7181 West, 3800 South in West Valley City.

All former players, coaches, friends and acquaintances are invited to the open house.

Sudbury is retiring from teaching and coaching after 42 years. He started his teaching and coaching at Brockbank Jr. High School in 1966. He became the Head Football Coach at South Summit High School in 1967-69. In 1969 he moved to Bingham High School as Assistant Football and Head Baseball Coach where he won three consecutive State Baseball titles (1974-75-76). In 1977 he became the Head Football and Baseball Coach at Tooele High School until 1983. He returned back to Bingham High School in 1983 as Assistant Football and Basketball Coach. In 1985 he was named the Head Football Coach.
He served as Head Football Coach until he retired in 2000.
Son was hired in 2000 to became the Head Football Coach at Cyprus High School until this past season.
