Women's golf: Weber State signs a Twin Falls standout
Weber State women's golf coach Jeff Smith looked north for his latest recruit, landing Sara Federico of Twin Falls, Idaho.
Federico recently signed a national letter of intent to join Weber State's successful women's golf program.
"We are very pleased to have signed Sara," said Smith. "She is an outstanding and well-rounded student-athlete."
Federico was a four-time letterwinner in golf for Twin Falls High School. She lettered three times in volleyball and basketball and was named the team MVP in both sports for the 2008-09 season.
In golf, Federico was named Second Team All-Conference in 2006 and First Team All-Conference in 2007 and 2008. She was named the Region 4,5,6 Player of the Year in 2009 and led Twin Falls to three-straight State Championships from 2007-2009. She finished fourth overall in the state tournament in 2007 and improved one spot each year to a third place in 2008 and a second place in 2009.

I believe the last name is "FEDERICO."
Lets hope the kids who opt for out-of-state can compete with the higher recruited ones from BCS schools
