Football: PG's Lloyd, Jordan's Hart among West's top QBs
Pleasant Grove quarterback Dallas Lloyd, who has committed to Stanford, is the top "dual threat" high school quarterback in the West, according to some rankings released today by the Web site Scout.com.
The site also lists the top all-around quarterbacks in the West, and topping the rankings is Jake Heaps, the qb from Skyline High in Sammamish, Wash., who has committed to BYU.
"The nation's top-ranked quarterback, Heaps is polished, poised and a winner, having gone 28-0 as a varsity quarterback with two state titles," the site noted.
Regarding Lloyd, the site said, "Can beat you on the run or with his arm and plays with a lot of fire, exactly what you want in a quarterback."
Jordan High senior Alex Hart is on the "Next 10" list, while Brian Blechen of Moorpark, Calif., who has committed to Utah, is on the "Other Quarterbacks to Watch" list.
