Soccer: Utah U-14 girls team advances to finals in California tournament
A girls club soccer team from northern Utah advanced to the finals of the West Coast Futbol Classic in Orange County, Calif., last weekend.

La Roca Premier Under-14 defeated three California teams at the tournament before losing to Arsenal FC of California 3-1 in the championship game.

Gotsoccer.com ranks Arsenal FC as the No. 1 U-14 girls club team in the country.

The 16-team tournament included the Western Regional champs, the California South state champion and finalist, the Texas South state champion and the Washington state finalist.

La Roca Premier is coached by Ariel Bravo and Ryan Evans.
