Women's Basketball: BYU lands Timpanogos center Morgan Bailey
Morgan Bailey, a 6-2 center from Timpanogos High in Orem, Utah, has orally committed to play women's basketball for BYU.
Bailey committed to BYU coach Jeff Judkins on Tuesday after visiting the campus on Monday.
She was the third-leading scorer in Class 5A last year with a 16.1 average. She also averaged 10.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game for the Timberwolves last season.
"I just felt good about it," she said. "BYU has always been my top school."
Bailey also had offers from UNLV, Utah State and Southern Utah.
She played this past summer for the Utah Flight club team which was successful at several national tournaments, including one third-place finish.
The Timberwolves recently hired former BYU star Melinda Johnsen as their new women's basketball coach, after former coach Liz Darger took a position at Utah Valley University.
