Football: Park City QB Erik Walker gets offer from Army
Notice how Park City quarterback Erik Walker had 275 rushing yards on just 13 carries in Park City's 48-7 win over Morgan last night?

Walker is one of the state's top offensive threats, and more and more Division I programs are starting to take notice.

The seniors recently received his third scholarship offer, from Army.

Previously, Walker received offers from Navy and Dartmouth.

Speaking of Utah prep athletes who will likely leave the state to play college sports, there are two interesting articles in cyberspace this morning regarding guys who did just that.

Former West Jordan basketball star Ray Gallegos is now at Nebraska, preparing for his freshman season with the Cornhuskers. Here's a story in the Omaha World-Herald about how Gallegos is adjusting in the world of the Big Red.

Former Judge Memorial star Cort Dennison, now a backup linebacker at Washington, will probably get his first collegiate start on Saturday, and it couldn't have come at a better place for Dennison: Notre Dame.

As this article in the Seattle Times details, Dennison grew up a huge Notre Dame fan while attending one of only two Catholic high schools in the Salt Lake Valley (Juan Diego is the other).

Finally, there's some news related to this particular blog for you today.

Barring some unforeseen snafus, this is most likely our last post on this particular platform for this blog.

Several Trib staffers have already moved their blogs to a new platform, and the recruiting blog switch-over is scheduled to take place today.

So don't be alarmed when you click on this blog later today, or tomorrow, and it looks different that what you are accustomed to.

You can still get to this blog via the same address, and the archives will still be available if you want to look up past blogs.

However, if you have subscribed to an RSS feed, that address is changing and you will need to re-subscribe once the switch-over is complete.

See you at the new digs!
