Volleyball: Spanish Fork's Redd among four Utah signees

Utah’s volleyball program has signed four players to national letters of intent, including one from Utah.
Erin Redd, a 6-foot-2 middle blocker from Spanish Fork High, signed with the Utes along with right-side hitter Yiting Cao, libero Charlee Dyroff and outside hitter Morgan Odale.
Redd was a first-team all-region selection for the Dons in 2009 and hit. .388 during her prep career.
Cao is a member of the Chinese Junior National team and recently played at Illinois Central College. Dyroff is from Boulder, Colo., and Odale is from Eagle, Idaho.
Baseball: Utes sign eight
November 13th, 2009Utah baseball coach Bill Kenneberg has announced the signing of eight players to national letters of intent, including three local products.
Joining the Utes are Skyline third baseman Trey Nielsen, Jordan second baseman Cory Hunt and Juan Diego pitcher Luke West.
The other high schoolers to sign are Ben Mordini, a pitcher from Cherry Creek High in Colorado, and Josh Alexander, a pitcher from Mountain Pointe High in Arizona.
The other three are junior college transfers James Brooks, Derek Christensen (West Jordan High) and Dustin Hobbs.
Baseball: Pine View's Littlewood headed to San Diego

We mentioned that one of the state’s best prep baseball players, Adam Duke of Spanish Fork, had signed with Oregon State earlier this week.
Another of the top players in the state, Marcus Littlewood of Pine View High in the St. George area, also inked with a school.
Littlewood, son of Dixie State College baseball coach Mike Littlewood, signed with the University of San Diego.
Marcus Littlewood is an infielder who scouts say has a chance to go very early in June’s Major League Baseball draft.
Volleyball: Snow Canyon's Alisa signs with USU

Jamaica Alisa, an outside hitter at Snow Canyon High in St. George, has signed to play volleyball for Utah State.
Alisa recently helped the Warriors win their third-straight 4A state championship. As a junior, she was a second-team all-state selection by The Tribune.
Softball: Oly pitcher Carly Duckworth to sign with BYU

Olympus High softball star Carly Duckworth has committed to play for BYU’s softball program and will sign her letter of intent on Friday at her school.
Oly is the alma mater of BYU assistant softball coach Vaughn Alvey.
A pitcher, Duckworth helped Olympus make it to the semifinals of the state softball tournament last spring for the first time in school history.
