AG: A-OK
KSL's investigative team may have gotten the goods on Attorney General Mark Shurtleff -- Rolling Stone tickets, at least -- but a newsletter of state government affairs says Mark can relax. He'll keep his job.
Stateline.com says two-term Republican Shurtleff "has ruffled feathers, especially among conservatives," by backing hate-crimes bills, opposing the anti-gay-marriage amendment and prosecuting polygamist sects, "a crusade that led to death threats."
But Stateline says, voters respect his prosecutions and Democrats won't target his seat.
