Green-dance
Wired's "Underwire" blog flogged Sundance on the hypocrisy of its heavily hyped commitment to the environment. Jason Silverman writes:

Silverman says Sundance's constant use of "eco" and "enviro" is ludicrous. He visits the Eco Lounge Hotel that bills itself as the "hippest Earth-friendly style suite on Main Street at the Sundance Film Festival … a sponsored, branded entertainment multi-media gifting loft & lounge..." Then hits the ABSOLUT/LIVE EARTH Green Screen Lounge where a part of the price of cocktails goes towards an eco-charity.
You fly in from around the world, drive your rental Escalade up into an ecologically sensitive canyon, tripling the size of a tiny town and gridlocking its roads. You send a FedEx fleet worth of swag in from L.A., drink your Starbucks lattes out of disposable cups, cover the town in postcards and fliers … It's hard to describe the Sundance Film Fest as an environmentally friendly event.

Would you say that the "supposed" Eco Lounge's you visited were just joining the Green band wagon and "Greenwashing"? I wonder what aspects about them were actually ECO. Thanks for being honest about the hypocrisy of these eco wanna-be's
Yo people-recycled, reused, environmentally friendly--meaning nothing is manufactured contributing to the environmental burden. This article is just some loud mouth spewing off about something he/she knows nothing about. Do some homework on the articles that are eco-conscious, understand what that means and how much these artists give back to the environment.
1% to the planet, green companies...just because it isn't uglier than hell doesn't mean it isn't green...
Check out the designers, artists and products before you go off on it...please.
