Hey Dems, why not Romney?

The Daily Kos has an interesting idea -- Michigan Democrats should cross over and vote for Mitt Romney in the GOP primary to ensure he wins.

It's not that the Kos likes Romney.

It's that some pundits believe Romney as a GOP candidate would ensure a Democrat in the White House.

It seems Republican voters in Michigan have been screwing with Democratic primaries for decades. Crossovers voted for segregationist Democrat George Wallace in 1972. In 1988, Republican voters helped Jesse Jackson win the Democratic primary. GOP turncoats helped Jack Kevorkian's lawyer win the Democratic primary in 1998, guaranteeing a Republican in the governor's mansion.
