Murder she wrote

Sara Israelsen-Hartley of the D-News is writing the on-going Kiplyn Davis murder trial like a good mystery:

Karen Knudson had two columns for the traits of her crush, Christopher Jeppson — good and bad. "He can be very cold, a hypocrite, puts girls on a list, experience under his belt, holds grudges. ..."

"He said, 'I killed Kiplyn Davis,' then he said 'just joking.' " Then he said 'We dumped her body in Spanish Fork Canyon.' "

"I felt sick," Knudson said. "(I said) please tell me you're just joking and he said, 'I'm just joking."
'

Knudson was a witness during the second day of a preliminary hearing for Jeppson, above, who is charged with murdering 15-year-old Kiplyn in 1995.

If you want just the latest news you can go to the Trib's account. But Israelsen-Hartley's piece is a great yarn in the old afternoon newspaper tradition.
