Our Boy on the Bus

Salt Lake Weekly's Holly Mullen, a former Trib columnist, slammed Trib political reporter Tommy Burr on the alt-weekly's blog.
The occasion is an over-the-top piece by Trib ombudsdame Connie Coyne on Burr's relentless pursuit of Mitt Romney's campaign.
Coyne says being a campaign follower -- easily confused with camp follower -- is "an exercise better compared to Rudyard Kipling's description of hell from Gunga Din: "Where it's always double drill and no canteen."
But Mullen has a cold, cold heart: "Sitting on a warm, idling campaign bus in a parking lot, eating sandwiches on only six hours sleep ... It's such a bitch."
How times change. Burr, correct me if I'm wrong, was a two-time World's Bestest Reporter, according to the SLWeekly's highly credible "Best of" annual advertiser-extortion issue.
Mullen and I share some history, btw.

Tommy IS a good reporter, no argument there. We just don't want to hear about the constant challenge and abject boredom of hangin' out on the bus and in the diner. (Holly Mullen)
Kids, kids, kids! Keep your post-martital disputes to yourselves. They're even more boring the Coyne's Singleton Advocate column or what Tommy does on the bus.
