Political Machen-ations
In an startling move, former University of Utah president Bernie Machen has endorsed John McCain for president. Machen is now the president of the University of Florida, but headed the UofU during the time Mitt Romney was saving the 2002 Olympics.

Does he know something about Mitt's heroic effort that we don't?

UF professor of political science Margaret Conway says:

"I'm astonished. It's not the sort of thing university presidents usually do. They don't get involved in politics except for lobbying for their university or charitable causes."

Conway says Machen risks losing support if an another candidate is elected.
