Trib writer joins U2 tour!
Just kidding. But it's the next best thing — Mark Eddington, an eight-year Tribune vet, will become Washington press secretary to FOB (friend-of-Bono) Sen. Orrin Hatch.

We assume Eddington, an aspiring guitarist, took this creepy gig in hopes of playing Branson, Mo., with Orrin.

In any event, by the middle of February, Eddington will be professionally lying to and misleading his former colleagues.

Shouldn't be much of a stretch for ole Mark to professionally lie for his new boss - as he'll lie to cover his own butt - and God forbid if anyone gets in his way - they're toast - I know.

They should be great comrades on Capitol Hill - both being such good Mormons and doing whatver needed for the "cause."

Glad to be leaving Utah in the near future to join the real world again - just a bit much here.
