Try south of the border?
How's this for a want ad:
Utah seeks highly qualified, dedicated teachers, particularly in math and science. We offer rotten pay, overcrowded classrooms and zero respect. Great scenery!

Utah, suffering from a teacher shortage that is only going to get worse as the school-age population explodes is stalking teachers nationwide. The State Education Office is forking over $100,000 to recruit on Teachers-Teachers.com. An AP story on the effort has turned up in papers around the nation -- including rust-belt Michigan where teachers are hard up for jobs.

The employment site has 7,600 teachers who say they would consider working in Utah -- nearly 600 of them are in Michigan. Psst...if you really want to suck up to Utahns -- vote for Mitt.
