Local boy did bad
A Utahn has made it onto a list of the "10 Notorious Hackers of Our Time."

A federal sting known as Operation Web Snare 2004, which the feds call the most successful law enforcement operation related to online fraud, netted Utah resident Mark Pentrack. Pentrack offered car and aircraft parts for sale over the Internet, "but did not own those items."

At least on the Web, Pentrack was an international man of mystery. He hired secretaries in five states outside Utah and used an Australian e-mail service to receive payments totaling $200,000 from victims. He was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.
