McCain-Romney: Still out there
Columnist Robert Novak is reporting that GOP trickster and Olympus High graduate Karl Rove is pushing Romney as a vice presidential candidate.
"Karl Rove and other prominent Republicans are talking up a McCain-Romney harmony ticket despite personal dislike between the two presidential candidates. Romney also would have to overcome opposition to him going on the ticket by his closest advisers."
Facing a campaign message of change and hope from the Democrats, you'd think McCain and Romney, both. would steer wide of Rove (remember the Valerie Plame fiasco?) and any other tainted debris of the second Bush presidency.
