Words of wisdom about wine
Here's something you don't see every day — a Mormon winemaker.

According to the Capitol Times in Madison, Wis., Goldeneye vintner Zach Rasmuson has strayed from the LDS path to put his faith in pinot noir. And, Rasmuson, like all wine lovers, describes his Anderson Valley, Calif., vintages in sensual terms that would trigger tingles in A.G. Mark Shurtleff's solar plexus.

"I think pinot noir makes a sexy wine compared to the other varietals. Pinot noir is a brilliant wine in the glass, one that reflects the light rather than absorbs it. It captures you first in the nose with its fragrances, then sits on the palate, but doesn't dominate it."

Baby! Oh, baby — Zach, tell us about your pinot's legs.

Rasmuson admits he's not the most devout Latter-day Saint. "I was raised Mormon because there was no other option," he says of his rural Massachusetts childhood.

Why doesn't he run for president?
