Election suspense
Pollster Dan Jones picked the pockets of KSL and the Deseret News again.

They actually paid him to conduct a survey to discover this: Gov. Jon Huntsman and Attorney General Mark Shurtleff have commanding, killer, leads over their Democratic opponents — whoever they are*.

The DNews political editor Bob Bernick sticks his neck way out with this story lead:
Republican Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. and Attorney General Mark Shurtleff have no political worries — at least not now — a new poll shows.

"At least not now!" Ominous foreshadowing there. Jon and Mark might just get drunk and run naked through Temple Square, which would bring those numbers down. Says Bernick:

. . . all four candidates in the poll have not yet started their public campaigns. But the Democrats clearly have a long way to go, the poll shows.

Way to make it a real horserace.

Bob Bernick -- Master of the Obvious! (or was that oblivious?)

Going where everyone else has already gone before.
