A kick in the head
Leave it to those Utah State Aggies to gallop to the forefront of the march of science.

Equine Specialist Pat Evans is partnering with researchers in, you guessed it, Arkansas to conduct an online study to learn more about the most common injuries caused by horses and how to prevent them.
She wants to know horseback accident victims' riding styles, medical costs, work missed and, yes, the age of the horse that throwed 'em.

Before you make a crack about Aggies or the use of public money at USU, take a look at the price of gasoline. You may be back in the saddle even before USU begins its study of stagecoach safety.

Why is learning how to prevent riding accidents a waste of money? USU is an ag school. This research is within their mission.
