My lobbyists: Smith, Wesson and Glock

Now we know how to get a point across at a West Valley City Council meeting: Show up with a posse of 10 armed men (if possible, stout-hearted types who will fight to the end).
Travis Deveraux, with a semi-auto strapped to his own hip and his 10 behind him, got the rapt and respectful attention of the mayor and City Council as he complained of being unconstitutionally harassed by WVC cops. Deveraux had innocently taken his Smith & Wesson for a walk around the neighborhood when he found himself surrounded by police officers. Sheesh.
Using some curious reasoning, he explained:
A criminal does not want [police] attention, and they will not openly carry a gun.I have to note that, on the other hand, a homicidal maniac just might openly carry a gun down the street.

Be glad Glen, that someone has the guts to exercise their constitutional right to keep and bear arms, so that you don't have to sully yourself.
It's been a while, but I just saw this. This is so much like other types of discrimination I can hardly stand it. No, not against the bearer of arms, but in the perception of the person feeling threatened or intimidated by that person. It is my belief that you will use your openly displayed gun to advance your own agenda, not mine. Put it away, grow up and learn to communicate your way out of jams. Or just shoot me I guess.
