You'll beg for waterboarding
The Associated Press reports that Sen. Orrin Hatch's song-writing gig is rolling along. Federal financial disclosure documents show Orrin earned more than $15,000 in music royalties in 2007.Hatch has written songs about God, country and Mahammad Ali. He even wrote a love song for the Great Satan, Ted Kennedy. If the Kennedy-inspired "Souls Along the Way" isn't creepy, I don't know what is.
Who, exactly, is buying all that awful music is a mystery. One theory is that lobbyists buy it as a way to launder campaign contributions to Hatch. Another rumor is that Orrin licensed his greatest hits to the military to use as "enhanced interrogation techniques" in extracting information from Gitmo detainees.
Speaking of exquisite torture, take a gander at Orrin and Barry Manilow, above. You can print it out and use it to keep mice out of the kitchen.
