BYU grad does bad
An investigation by the U.S. Inspector General found that Kyle Sampson, former chief of staff to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, "violated department policy and federal law, and committed misconduct," by making political or ideological philosophy a test in hiring immigration judges.Sampson, a native Utahn, argued that immigration judges were political appointees, whose partisan allegiances could be considered. But the IG report says no:
Even if Sampson was confused or mistaken in his interpretation of the rules that applied to [immigration judges] hiring, we do not believe that would excuse his actions. His actions, which were carried out over a lengthy period of time and were not based on formal advice from anyone, systematically violated federal law and department policy and constituted misconduct.Sampson resigned last year after a scandal broke involving the firing of several U.S. attorneys, allegedly for being politically out of step with the Bush administration.

Oh No, Another Mo !
I can't believe this is still being bantered around. Are people still shocked that politics plays a role in who is hired in DC?
Will he ever do time for the crime? not likely. Will his handlers, rove and cheney ever get theirs; not likely. Will Judge Nixon have to give back his appointment?
When a Mo screws up, you'll find it in Warchol's blog.
When a Mo gets it right, you won't find it here.
He's a good Mormon boy who does what he's told. The thinking was already done for him. Give the guy a break - he didn't know any better.
Torture.
Everyone else is doing it, why shouldn't the U.S. do it too?
Gadianton R-Utah, sez Utah County, the reddest of the red. The little fat boy was bred, born and brainwashed in Happy Valley. Go McBush! Four more years of war, corruption and Bushflation!
The father of Holly Mullen's daughter leaves the positive stories of Latter-day Saints to the Mormon Times.
