George who?
The Boston Herald's Howie Carr says Mitt Romney is dialing up the intensity to get on the Republican ticket this fall. Mitt already has one role at the GOP convention. He's heading Massachusett's delegation to St. Paul in September.First, yesterday, you appear on Wolf Blitzer’s “Situation Room” on CNN, which these days is nothing more than a 24/7 Barack Obama infomercial. Then, last night, you go on Hannity & Colmes on Fox, promoting the economic plan of John McCain.
Yes, that John McCain, who was quoted during the GOP primary campaign as saying that you, Mitt Romney, “make his skin crawl”.
Romney may have had a nice visit recently from President George Bush at casa Romney in Deer Valley, but Mitt hints that the wildly unpopular prez may be non grata at the convention. Romney told CNN he was not sure whether McCain will appear with George.
You know I am not much of a choreographer, I have to be honest with you.I don't know how convention choreography is going to work. Of course we want to hear from our president and hear his perspectives....This is clearly John McCain's convention.
Bush is scheduled to speak on the first night and McCain probably won't show up until he accepts the nomination on the final night, so he and Bush won't even pass each other backstage.

McCain is wise to avoid Bush, and just as wise to avoid Romney. Neither can help him win the presidency.
