Who's the better role models? Craig and Kidman or Harry and Hermione?And Rowling gives McCain the opening he's been waiting for — Barack Obama will have to suspend his campaign to read Harry Potter: The Tales of the Bodacious Babe to his daughters, outraging the Satan-slandering evangelicals:
Over the course of four years I made time to read all of the Harry Potter books out loud to my daughters.Don't get me wrong — I support satanic children's literature as much as the next person. My beef is that the Potter series is ungood. If you want to feed your kids on subversive books, try the thought-provoking Golden Compass series that trashes the Catholic church and religion at every turn.
*This rant has absolutely nothing to do with my having to cover the 2000 release festivities for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Phlegm.

That's a good question. Perhaps I should reevaluate my own taste. Thanks for the reality check!
My wife read all 7 of the Harry Potter books to me. (These others, I am not counting yet).
I have also read a few of the Harry Potter books.
I didn't read, or go see the Golden Compass Books. I didn't want to encourage them.
I have no problem with The Harry Potter series. I was disappointed with the delay of the book 6 movie release.
Fantastically humorous and bitterly caustic. Thank you! I needed to laugh today. Plus, I forgot what a hottie Nicole Kidman still is.
