Re-elect Brambo, please

The Salt Lake Tribune editorial board says you folks in Provo ought not re-elect Curt Bramble state senator. Here's why:
- He ignores the voice of the public.
- He pushes through laws that lead to expensive court cases and referendums.
- He's big on back-room deals.
- He crushes ethics reform like a steamroller over a bug.
- He's a bully (hence the nickname: "Brambo.")
- He's "ham handed." (I never looked that closely, but whatever.)
- He's a lousy tipper. (They forgot that one.)
- He gets into hilarious chest bumping confrontations with other legislators, Democrats, activists, reporters, pizza delivery girls, small dogs and anything else that crosses his turf.
- He's got a bad haircut.
- When he gets pissed on the Senate floor he looks like Mussolini.
- When he tries to be charming, nearby babies cry and dogs howl.
- His eyes pop out of his head cartoon-like when you ask him hard questions.
- He's got a really creepy relationship with Rep. Becky Lockhart and her husband, GOP party overlord Stan Lockhart.
- There's probably a lot more dirt about his relationships with lobbyists and special interests than we'll ever know.
- He's a passionate bully.
- HE'S NOT BORING!

Having seen the results of the Trib's endorsements, Bramble just gained about 15 points in the polls.
Meanwhile, Jay Seegmiller is kicking himself for getting your endorsement, and word on the street is that Obama's slip in Gallup today came solely based on the Trib's endorsement.
Bad haircut? Look who's talking. At least Bramble has hair to cut.
- He understands taxes better than his opponent
- He understands the budget better than his opponent
- He understands education better than his opponent
- He understands transportation better than his opponent
Yes, he is frequently a jerk, but at least he's competent.
What does Bramble understand better than his opponent?
That corporations who fund his campaign are his constiuents and that the people who elect him don't mean shit.
Look at all the GOP campaign finace disclosure report and se who runs Utah government and know that in Utah County, God is money.
i spelled see wrong, no someone like Buttars will think I'm Hispanic.
Si?
I think his family should be considered a gang, with attendant police oversight.
And the unions that fund the opposition are somehow pure and delightsome, unlike corporations which are filthy and loathsome?
At least Bramble is less abrasive than his opponent. It also helps that he knows what he is talking about.
Bramble can spew numbers like a robot but there's no meaning behind his numbers. RaDene has worked 20 years in schools so I think she for sure wins in knowledge of education. But we're not talking about being a governor here. Half of being a good legislator is your ability to work with people and make good decisions on what bills to vote for. Of course Bramble knows more about the specifics right now because he's been at the legislature 8 years. That doesn't mean he's better for his constituients. Most his specifics come from lobbyists and special interests instead of actualy listening to voters. I'm sure eight years ago Bramble didn't know much.
And lets not forget besides working for 20 years in schools, RaDene has a master's in public policy and has proved she has a brilliant mind and a very likeable personality.
Don't worry Glen. Bramble is already working basically as a behind the scenes lobbyist (See "lobbyist has captive audience story by Paul Rolly) when he lobbyied for Allied Waste and never declared it. I'm sure he'll get a good job as a high paid lobbyist full time after he loses and then the hilarity can continue!
You forgot that we'd miss Bramble's annoying stuttering.
"Bramble's less abrasive than his opponent?" How wrong can that comment be? 100%. Has RaDene EVER a DAY in her life been abrasive? I HIGHLY doubt it.
"- He understands education better than his opponent" How wrong can that comment be? 90%. RaDene not know anything about education? I HIGHLY doubt it.
Some people out there are spewing noise and have no facts to back up accusations.
TRUE, RaDene has NOT held an elective office position (that I know of). Bramble was in the same boat at one time in his life as well. Rather than ask what experience she doesn't have IN office, ask, "Do you think she could cause Utah less damage than Bramble if she wetted her feet in the Senate?"
As a junior Democrat, who's interested in SERVING the people in her district (what a NOVEL idea that is), wouldn't that be better than the damage Bramble causes EVERY DAY?
Perhaps you haven't had the "pleasure" of meeting RaDene like I have. I state a position that differs from hers and she starts jumping down my throat, lecturing me how she knows best and that I'm essentially an idiot. Of course, when it was pointed out that my statement was fact and not opinion and that I was actually correct she then starts attacking me again because she didn't like the fact. From my experience I'd vote for anyone over RaDene. Ignorant and arrogant is too much.

Dear Senator Brambo,
I've met RaDene, have spoke with her often, and the RaDene your describing just doesn't exist.
Come on Senator, if your going to post as anonymous at least try to not be so transparent.
You haven't done so on Capitol Hill, so why start now?
With every best wish,
Rob Miller
Typical Rob Miller cheap shot, but should we be surprised considering the October Surprise he and Holland orchestrated against Greg Hughes?
So much for being Peter F. Priesthood.
Yet another RaDene encounter. This time I watched as she tried to tell an audience that education funding was the top priority and should receive all funding (everything else should be cut at the expense of public education). Despite her protests everyone in the audience thought she was clueless. They thought difficult tradeoffs needed to be made to balance the priorities of many beneficial programs. To make things worse she spouts how she will listen and represent them when she just blew them off.
