Deport Hughes?
"Wut the . . .?"

The Tribune
's Robert Gehrke, who apparently has no life at all, was listening Saturday to Radio Free Salt Lake County (otherwise known as K-Talk).

On the show Inside Utah Politics, Heavy industry stooge Howard Stephenson and Rep. Greg Hughes were broadcasting hope to the Republican holdouts in the People's Republic of Salt Lake.

To weed out infiltrators who might try call in, the hosts warned they would ask basic questions that any American citizen should know. For instance, Stephenson asks Hughes:
Who was the second President of the United States?
And red, white and blue Greg answers:
Thomas Jefferson.
Unfortunately, the Democrats jammed the podcast before the phones lit up.

Maybe Hughes is a little punchy, maybe that explains his bad behavior and blowing such an easy question. Of course, blowing these types of questions helps to ensure he retains street cred among the anti-intellectual wing of the GOP base, so maybe he blew it on purpose? Anyway, my five year old son knows who the first four presidents were. Sheesh.

Hughes is a wuss. I would love to box this guy. He uses his position as a tool of retaliation.

Can you give me his number? All proceeds for the boxing match would go to any charity he chooses.

Get it arranged, then I will reveal my identity and kick his butt!

Wimp!

Some of the blame has to fall on the Eagle Forum Homeschoolers Association who texted the answer to Hughes.

Selective name-calling, again, by Warchol the Hack.

It's interesting whom Warchol is willing to call a stooge. So Stephenson is a stooge for heavy industry (I thought he was also a stooge for light industry, banks, Realtors, developers, IT, charter schools, contractors, the rich, hotels, ski resorts, Big Oil, Big Copper, Energy Solutions...).

When does Warchol get around to calling Sheryl Allen a stooge for the UEA? Or David Litvack a stooge for Salt Lake County government? Or Menlove and Winn as stooges for higher education?

Isn't Menlove also a stooge for public ed as well?

I asked ten friends of mine the same question, and only one person answered correctly. Chalk another one up for public educations' planned goal of dumbing down America. Another success story!
