Now we'll never get the Dems to shut up
Obama greets Utahns near Kimball Junction.

Updated election results reveal that Barack Obama carried the People's Republic of Salt Lake County over John McCain — the first time in decades that a Democratic presidential candidate won in the state's capital county. McCain, of course, handily carried the rest of Utah.

The final result gave Obama a 296-vote victory, and as the Tribune points out:
The race was so close that if McCain wanted a recount in Salt Lake County, he could get one. But no one really expects that to happen.

Must be all those "fake" Utahans (California transplants) that are ruining the state...haha.

Just wait until Huckabee runs in 2012. Obama could carry the entire state.

Fake "Utahans"? Only a fake Utahn would spell it "Utahan".

For the person wrestling with 'Utahans' check Merriam Webster. It's spelled both ways. Please, do a little research before you make a fool of yourself!

IT doesn't matter how Webster spells it. He wasn't a Utahn. And Utahns spell it Utahn.

I am pleasantly suprised, since I am a former resident of Dugway Proving Grounds, SLC and Cedar City.

You should feel lucky you have California transplants. They are less ignorant and have a better sense of style!

Yahoo, progress is slowly coming to town. Can the rest of the state be far behind. The intelligent people beat out the "Curse of Cain" folk in one county.
