TGIO '08: Primates of the Year
State Sen. Chris Buttars, thought to be the missing link between humans and creeping things, brings national attention to Utah by insulting blacks, gays and anyone else who happens to be in the room. Buttars also disgraces the Legislature by threatening a judge who ruled against a developer pal. Buttars is not only re-elected by the mutants in his district, but is given positions of power by his colleagues.State Senator and hominid impersonator Curt Bramble tries to get a pizza delivery girl to accept a check by wowing her with his magnificence. Bramble thunders:
I'm the majority leader of the Senate! And, I'm a CPA — a check is as good as cash!To indisputably prove he's a member of the Legislature, Bramble stiffs her on the tip.
Jason Chaffetz runs for Congress pitching a scheme to round up illegal aliens and put them in tent camps. In nearly any other Congressional district, such a harebrained idea would have landed Chaffetz in the bughouse, but in Utah it lands him in Congress.
Attorney General Mark Shurtleff expands his duties, promoting himself to state Huckster for Hire. He writes endorsement letters and does stand-up routines for businesses that coincidentally contribute to his campaign fund.

Yes, the idiot Chaffetz is in Congress, but the brilliant one is Glen Warchol, who is writing a seldom-read blog for a dying newspaper.

the first anoyous post, is a bigoted con, probably from happy valley, where the Y and Dick 'the bully neocon' Chenney rein. Chaffetz is in congress because idiots of his ilk put him there, where the irrational rule with their rationalizations :), that does not make it something to be proud of.
Here's my prediction: Chaffetz will be still be in Congress when Warchol is standing in the unemployment line and the Tribune is up for sale. I hope the Mormons buy it.

Wrong and wrong. I just believe giving journalists an infusion of reality every once in a while is a healthy thing. Chaffetz is in Congress, which in spite of all of America's best hopes, is not going out of business. Warchol is involved in the newspaper business, and granted in a new and different fashion, but nonetheless, a dying business.
But if you want to believe I'm a slobbering neo-con, go right ahead. Tilting at wind mills is not illegal, just unproductive.

Anonymous St. George 2:20 - After reading your post, and decoding your "spelling", such as it was, I wonder if any schools in the Washington County School District actually made AYP last year. You're One Child who obviously was Left Behind. LOL!
That look on Chris Buttars' face is classic. He's probably trying to figure out what it is he's looking at. Male? Female? Both? Neither? Inquiring minds want to know.
There are people that want to round up all 12 million illegals, and are mad that Jason Chaffetz DOESN'T want to do that. Jason only wanted facilities where the government wouldn't have to catch and release felons. There are 600,000 they have let go. We wouldn't have to build facilities for that many, as we just need a temporary facility for convicted criminals, to be held prior to deportation.
There are people that don't want anyone new moving in, where Jason wants to fix LEGAL immigration so it doesn't take so long to legally come here.

just because, in what some would call a narrow view, you see newspapers as a dying business, so what. whether printed on paper or electronically, news is news, even parced with intertainment.
so Mr. Cheffetz lover and hater of progressive views, of which this paper and Warchol represent, how is your only source of neocon views doing, in a 'fair and balanced way' as in Fox Noise?
