Barack's speech wasn't THAT good
The New York Times reports that a big-wheel New York couple returning from the Sundance Film Festival on Delta Airlines got busted for complaining about being deprived of Barack Obama's inauguration speech last Tuesday.

Sheila Nevins, the president of HBO Documentary Films — sometimes called Queen Sheila, was flying with her husband Sidney Koch on flight they had been promised would have video coverage of the speech. But shortly after takeoff, Kock and Nevins’ monitor went south.

Koch lost it, says Jean Frost, an assistant executive director at the Directors Guild, who was also in first class.
Sidney had been watching Obama’s speech and a couple times when President Obama was speaking, the airplane pilot made a public address interrupting Obama’s speech. Sidney got very upset at that happening and went to talk to the stewardess.
Betsy Talton, a Delta spokeswoman, explains what happens when a New York master of the universe chews out a flight attendant over TV reception:
There was a customer who was upset that the in-seat screen wasn’t working and became verbally abusive to a flight attendant, and that flight was met by local law enforcement.
Police at Kennedy Airport escorted Koch and Nevins, shown above, off the plane and grilled them, according to their lawyer:
They were detained at JFK in a public space for two hours and were humiliated by the experience. It was ghastly and unnecessary.

It wasn't supposed to be flowery and soaring like many he has given. It was supposed to fit the day and time and need of Americans right now --to face reality about the financial situation, get to work, help others, and stop complaining. I think it was just right. jr

So sick of rich entitled white people. Do they not realize that rich entitled people caused the current economic mess we are in?

God, I know the type and I just can't stand her. Good thing there is nothing to watch on HBO these days.

"Barack's speech wasn't THAT good????"

What in the Sam Hill were you listening to ... really, I mean, what were you listening to? Yes, the speech wasn't THAT good ... it was great! The words were presidential poetry on a grand stage ... they were truly inspiring. Millions received hope from Barack's speech. I loved it, and derived a great appreciation of our new president from it. It was a landmark event full of promise. Obama carefully and expertly crafted his words in a not-to-be-missed speech that will be remembered a long time. That speech was obviously very important to these people, and they were rightly upset with the rude indifference to what they felt was important, and what they were promised, and what they paid for.

The coming together of the "melting pot" of humanity known as the United States of America is an astonishing thing to behold. Barack's speech was breathtaking. I value his oratory as I do Lincoln's speech at Gettysburg, or several of Kennedy's speechs. What happened on November 4th is truly an historical event that will profoundly affect all of the nations. Only those with a heart of steel and a minds full of mush that relish America's enslavement of black people will not be thankful that the oppression and injustices done to black-skinned people is finally over as the first black American is elected to the Presidency. Things will never be the same in this country, even though many who hate Obama for any reason will try to fan the flames with racist or condemning comments. Even John McCain graciously acknowledged this great event in his concession speech.

I don't think I would like to get in the way of anyone watching the speech, based upon these comments.

Anyone heard of TiVO?

150 million on the party while millions file for unemployment, families lose their homes, and millions go to bed hungry. 600 private jets fly in for the party while the icecaps are melting. Obama pays lip service to hope and change. well, at least bush in gone.
