Sleeping his way to the top
Utah's newest congressman, Jason Chaffetz, is becoming something of a media star in Washington. The young, ambitious Republican has shamelessly pandered to the media elite in the same way he shamelessly (and successfully) pandered to conservative Utah County voters by pledging to put illegal aliens to tent camps.

Through stunts such as sleeping on a cot in his office to leg wrestling with Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert, Chaffetz's profile has sky rocketed. In short, Jason has a genius for the asinine.

Now, he has an occasional blog on CNN Politics.com chronicling the adventures of a freshman congressman. The leg wrestling was more scintillating.

Jealous much, Glen? Where's your blog on CNN?

No worries, anon - this ill-fated blog is about to be discontinued due to the douchebagery of its 'writer' and the bullshit (read: anything alcohol-related or LDS-related) content he wants to 'expose.'

Shudder to think that we have seen Glen, the asshole-poster, drink a beer. Oh, the Horror!

Is the Tribune aware that it's 'blogger-in-chief' is an alcoholic smoker? Does it care? I hope not. Because it doesn't matter.

But the fact that W-hore-chol feels a need to exploit everyone else and attack mormons for no damn reason lends one to wonder...

What's going on at the Trib?

Glen,

Why don't you report on something that matters like the Government getting us deeper and deeper in debt to bail out their rich friends (bankers, etc.). In less than a year they have spent many times more than the war in Iraq and Afghanistan cost in "bailouts". Stocks are still going down, people are still losing their jobs. The Washington insiders are getting richer.

I read the CNN articles yesterday, and watched the videos. I though Rep. Jason Chaffetz did well.

I think it is great that he is one of two, of over 50 picked by CNN.

With over 30 others doing something similar, I think it shows Chaffetz has guts.

Jason sided with Matheson on a few things. You would think Glen would be happy with that?

That said, I would think more people would go after Glen's unfair remarks than Glen.

Glen - I find it interesting that you omit that CNN picked TWO Freshmen Congressmen to do this blog thing.

Isn't the old adage no publicity is bad publicity? You are doing your share to keep Jason's star in the spotlight. Thanks!

A wise friend once said,

"Small minds talk about people.
Mediocre minds talk about things.
Great minds talk about ideas."

So what does Jason talk about?
And what does Glen talk about?

Telling, isn't it?

It made no sense to Jason Chaffetz to rent an expensive DC apartment and fight the impossible DC traffic when he would only be sleeping in Washington DC 4 nights a week. It is the media's "genius for the asinine" who still choose to be obsessed with a cot rather than focusing on the good work Jason is doing.
Chaffetz is one of the few who cares about fixing legal immigration in this country - humanely, legally and fairly. It was the media's "genious of the asinine" who jumped on Bennion Spencer's bandwagon - his opponent who started a twisted smear campaign to misrepresent Chaffetz' true stand.
