Chris Buttars saves civilization
ABC 4News obtained an extraordinary interview with Sen. Chris Buttars done by a documentary filmmaker. In it Buttars explains that the gay movement has been taken over by radicals, much like the Islamic religion. In the tape, the West Jordan Republican warns that the gay rights movement is the primary threat to civilization:
What is the morals of a gay person? You can't answer that because anything goes.What is most obvious in the interview is that Buttars views himself as a martyr to his cause.
We're moving towards a society with no morals... There's never been a nation survived that's done that. . . .
You will destroy the foundation of American society because the foundation of society is a man and a woman. It's the beginning of the end.
From the NAACP to gays to the American Civil Liberties Union to the news media*, everyone is out to get him.
[Eagle Forum president] Gayle [Ruzicka] and I have been called everything in the book. They are the meanest buggers I've ever seen.Buttars dismisses gay and lesbian families as "combinations of abomination," and speaks with pride of thwarting gay rights legislation:
I've killed every [bill] that they brought for 8 years. . . . I'm the wall they hit.*"The [Salt Lake] Tribune has become the "Tribune Tabloid"as far as I'm concerned."

This type of bigotry is the beginning of the end of our civilization. Our society is based on the principles of freedom and equality, not hatred. He is an embarrassment.
Utah should be so proud, electing this waste-of-human-flesh twice.

A year ago Senate leadership announced, after the "black baby" remark and caustic letter to the District Court Judge, that Buttars would quietly go off into the sunset, calm his commentary and not run again. New Senate leadership though put him in a committe chair and has placed no "leash" on the guy - some of us wonder why? Regardless of the merits of the "gender issue", public figures need to offer a civil hand of courtesy and understanding toward those they don't personally agree with. His "off the wall commentary" though makes the national headlines and we in Utah get laughed at(and scorned).Oh! If it were all just funny and forgetable - but it's not.
I've always loved that photo of Butt-arse. It's in the dictionary, under UGLY.
The man reflects Utah and its dominant so-called religion. The wanna-be church now has shown its real face, that of hatred of anyone and everything it can't control.

Butt-arse is no joke. There's nothing funny there. He is an evil, deleterious, mental case. Pernicious and filled with hate.
Yes, the story goes Buttars will quietly retire and move on. But the word on Capitol Hill for some time has been that Buttars, in poor health from diabetes, hangs on because he needs the excellent insurance legislators get. He'll be there forever, or until his body gives out, whichever comes first.
Yup, the "Curse of Cain" is now Gays and Lesbians.

Well, why make him go? He's fulfilling the dreams of bigots so very well, that no large "conservative" organization should see a need to get rid of him. Let Buttars take the flack for being a public bigot, and let the real bigots keep donating to Buttars for re-election. Is there any sunshine law in Utah to show which organizations support this jerk?
