Road kill
It's not the kind of news you want to hear after watching lawmakers hack away at the state budget to meet revenue shortfalls: Con artists bilked the the state Division of Finance out of $2.5 million. And the scam was ludicrous. Shadowy figures somehow electronically diverted money meant for the University of Utah into an Arlington, Tex., truck driver's account. Most of the money was frozen before it could be withdrawn when the Texas bank wondered: Why is the state of Utah writing $2.5 million in checks to a truck driver?
John Reidhead, director Finance points out the obvious:
We thought we had better controls than we did.

Good catch Glen, thats good money that the state can now waste on Illegal Aliens and Gay Rights!
Of course we have to now create hundreds of new government jobs for mormons to administer those programs for Illegal Aliens and Gay Rights.
